Welcome to the Official site of the Everything Kayak! Expo

What is the expo all about?

The expo was born out of a need for some continuity and awareness in the sport of kayaking and a lack of educational outlets for the public in Texas. And what better a place than kayaking heaven… Aransas Pass, Texas!

You can expect to enjoy browsing between vendor tents, visiting with outfitters, guides and professionals in the kayak industry as well as some fishing equipment/lure companys, and kayak/accessories shops.

Consider taking an American Canoe Association Certified safety/paddle class. Learning to Kayak $25 (Beginners class) and Quick Start $75 (You will get wet!) courses are available all day Saturday, but space is limited so sign-up early!

Look for the “fly tent” and watch a pro or join in with some of the state’s finest fly tyers as they create something amazing from some string and feathers! - They will be tying throughout the day. If you are interested in fly fishing, join in some fly casting classes.

The fly casting classes are $40 for a “Beginner’s ” 2 hour class and $20 for a “Moving beyond the basics” 1 hour class. A large casting field on site is perfect for testing new rods or learning some tips from others in between casting lessons!

Food booths will be on site serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner please try to visit them as much as possible, these are more fundraising projects from the community.

What to expect this year

We are adding some speakers on ocean currents and surf information for those who feel the need to go into the deep blue… stay tuned for updates as speakers are secured. Check the schedule page for most recent updates.

This is an OUTDOOR event and if you plan on testing some kayaks plan on getting wet. Demos will be set up in a controlled area beside one of the ponds surrounding the expo grounds.

Each kayak vendor has DEMO tickets. All you have to do is ask them for a demo ticket, which kayaks to try, and they will fill out your ticket. Present the ticket to the DEMO check-in tent, get fitted for a PFD, and wait your turn. It is that simple.

Third Coast Kayak Fishing Tournament Series’ final event and Awards will be held in conjunction with the Expo… Look for the tourney tent, “weigh-in” is at 4pm and results will be announced at 6pm
